NNL: Abdul Sule Rues Kogi United Loss to Kaduna United.
Chairman of the Confluence state club, Kogi United, Abdul Sule has expressed disappointment with his side's 1-0 defeat to Kaduna United in the Week 7 of the Nigeria National League, NNL.
Hamsudeen Hamisu's 26th minute strike gave the hosts a narrow victory over Kogi United in an encounter played at the Kaduna Township Stadium on Sunday.
It was a match dominated by the Wada Boys through the game as they gave good account of themselves.
The Lokoja based side failed to convert numerous scoring opportunities that came their ways as they allowed Kaduna United to claimed the total points.
Sule who noted that his boys' performance in the match was the best this season believe Kogi United will get better in second round.
"Its unfortunate we lost, it was an attacking football today and I'm very proud of the boys despite the loss, the officiating is not that bad but you know the way it is for away games," begins the chairman of Kogi United.
"I'm very optimistic about our chances to end the season well, by the second stanza we will correct the lapses noticed, correct what we lacked, this is the first time I saw the team playing a good brand of football and I believe we will get it right," the former Super Eagles' defender said.
Assistant Coach of the Wada Boys, Wasiu Lawal who also echoed his chairman's position said the team will hope to reshuffle ahead of the second stanza adding that the board of the NNL should assist in monitoring the officiating in the league.
His counterpart from Kaduna United, Mohammed Saleh said Kogi United displayed a character of well motivated side just as he charged them to build on their performance ahead of the second leg of the season.
Kogi United, who have garnered only six points are expected to perfect their games as the league will be going on a two weeks break.
