Confluence Queens Name New Coaches



The management of Nigeria Women Premier League, NWPL, side, Confluence Queens Football Club have confirmed former Kogi United assistant coach Ibrahim Adewuyi Shola as the new Head coach for the 2015/16 season.


The Lokoja based team who finished 6th at the just concluded NWPL season deemed it necessarily fit the need to have some shake up in the technical department of the club to ensure a better preparation for the fourth coming season.

Also, former assistant coach of the club, coach Tenimu Sani Nayashi popularly known as “Maja ” has returned to assist the new chief coach Shola, while technical adviser Baba-Anini Musa Amorley retained his position.

However, former coach of the club Suleiman Adamu known as ” Zico” has been drafted to Kogi United Feeder team as Technical Adviser, while his former assistant Abubakar Musa “Manama” moved to Kogi United to assist coach Fatai Osho.

Speaking on the development, Chairman of the state clubs, Mallam Abdul Sule as quoted by the club spokespersons Tosin Ojo, tasked the new technical crew to brace up and instinct respect and discipline into the team, and also wished them best of luck ahead of the new season.

“I want to congratulate the new technical crew for their appointments and at the same time wish you all best of luck for the coming season. I want to also advice you all on the need to work hard, most especially bring respect, discipline and success for the club.

New chief coach Shola Adewumi, also expressed his happiness on his new appointment and also promised to do his best to ensured Confluence Queens get to where the club deserved to be in the coming season.

” It’s a great opportunity given to me to be the chief coach of Confluence Queens, I promised to do my best for this great club, our watchword will be discipline,” said the former Stationery Stores midfielder.

Until his appointment, coach Shola has worked as with Waheed Babes FC of Kaduna, Kaduna Queens, Remo Stars FC and Kogi United FC.

Confluence Queens, who resumed on Monday 4th January, 2016 have started preparation ahead of the 2015/16 Nigeria Women Premier League season
