Kogi United will be guests to Mighty Jets in Jos for one of the Matchday Two encounters of the 2017/2018 Nigeria National League, NNL season on Saturday.
The match billed for Rwang Pam stadium, Jos is expected to see the two sides renew their rivalries and stage a strong quest to pick one of the tickets to Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL at the end of the season.
Kogi United will hope to continue their bright start to the season after beating new comers Aklosendi on opening day.
Mighty Jets are expected to use all they have to claim victory on Saturday haven suffered a disappointing 2-0 defeat to newly promoted NAF FC last weekend in Abuja.
Coach Tunde Abdulrahman still keep faith in his team that prosecuted the opening day encounter in Lokoja, except for top striker, Austin Bentu who suffered a head injury against Aklosendi and replaced by Stephen Sunday Alasco.
The former Kwara United and Wikki Tourists' handler told Kogi United Media that he's confident of his side's positive outing in Jos adding that the Confluence State club are fired up for the match.
"We are in good stead for this match, we've done the needful in terms of preparation and want to give everything to pick the whole points in Jos.
"No doubt, it will be a tough game but we will be ready to withstand anything they bring to achieve our targets," he said.
Kogi United lost 1-0 in this similar fixture last season in Jos with a controversial first half penalty converted by Kabiru Yaro.
John Jerome also saw his equalizer for Kogi United ruled offside after connecting brilliantly with Abubakar Danlami's cross to shoot past Jets' keeper.
Jerome has however said that the approach to the game will be different on Saturday as Kogi United have grown in strength and composure going to the fixture.
"They (Mighty Jets) were lucky last time to beat us because we score a good goal that was disallowed, but we will not allow that again, we have matured enough to face them the team have more strength now and we are more focused to battle them throughout the match," an enthused Jerome said.
