In a renewed effort to strengthen the administrative structure of Confluence Queens Football Club, the management has reinstated Mrs. Tosin Ojo as the Team Manager ahead of the new Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) season.
The reinstatement was formally announced at the office of the Honourable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Hon. Monday Anyebe, in Lokoja.
While addressing Mrs. Ojo and other officials of the club, Hon. Anyebe congratulated her on her return and charged her, alongside the entire management and technical crew, to work together in unity and dedication to make Kogi State proud in the forthcoming season.
He reaffirmed the state government’s commitment, under the leadership of His Excellency, Alhaji Usman Ododo, to improving the welfare of players and staff while encouraging the dreams and aspirations of the girl child through sports.
Also present at the event was the Chairman of Confluence Queens, Hon. Abdulmalik Isah Dolly, who expressed confidence that Mrs. Ojo’s reinstatement would further strengthen the team’s operations and enhance their performance in the new campaign.
In her response, Mrs. Tosin Ojo appreciated both the Honourable Commissioner, Hon. Monday Anyebe, and the Club Chairman, Hon. Abdulmalik Isah Dolly, for the confidence reposed in her and for giving her another opportunity to lead the Kogi women’s team. She assured them of her total commitment, hard work, and loyalty, promising not to disappoint the trust and confidence placed in her.
With renewed support from the state government and management, optimism is high as Confluence Queens prepare to make a strong statement in the upcoming NWFL season.
