Attahiru felicitates with Kwarans on New Year, urge them to remain resolute to the growth of dream Kwara

 

The Special Adviser to Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq on Sports and Youth Matters, Hon. Attahiru Ibrahim Abdulkadir has urged Nigerians to remain determined in their pursuit for a better and purposeful life


Attahiru, in a new year message released by his media aide noted that the year 2021 is not without hurdles just like 2020 as the country is still battling with COVID-19 pandemic; Delta variant and hydraheaded  viruse (omicron), still, it doesn't stop _aboki talakawa,_ from achieving the Kwara of our dream.


"Kwarans are grateful to God for giving us a reliable and committed leader who is gradually transforming our dear State of Harmony from civil service state to an economic hub of middle belt."


He however urged Kwarans to remain resolute as Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq led administration is achieving Kwara of our dream in all sectors, the results of His Excellency's concerted efforts are seriously yielding positive results.

Kwara United sacks 19, adds 11 new players ahead new NPFL season



The management of Kwara United Football Club has confirmed the signing of 11 new players ahead of the commencement of the 2021/2022 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.


In the breakdown made available to the Media Team, eight of the players were signed outrightly from various clubs, two of them joined on loan, while the last player, an U-17 player, Muritala Lateef, was drafted in from the youth team.


The two players that joined on loan are Adebambo Adebola, from Aseami Sports Management Limited, and Chinedu Udeagha, from Wikki Tourists FC of Bauchi state.


The others are Abdulkadri Samad from Enyimba FC of Aba, Amaefule Chizoba from Heartland FC of Owerri, Ubakanma Peter from Mountain Top Football Club, MFM FC of Lagos, and Tiza Samuel from Lobi Stars FC, Makurdi.



The list also has Bolaji Michael from Adamawa United, Nwokeji Chiemeka from Warri Wolves, Tanko Mark from Basic Sports Academy and Haastrup Ezekiel from FC IfeanyiUbah.


It would be recalled that Kwara United FC retained the services of 28 players, and also placed 19 on transfer market at the close of the recently concluded 2020/2021 season, after finishing third on the official table of the NPFL.


Altogether, Kwara United FC have signed 38 players for the forthcoming season, including three youth players, Sulaiman Mojeed, Monday John, who part part of the last Golden Eaglets team to the Africa Junior Championship, and Murtala Lateef.


Four of the players are currently in the Super Eagles Team B camp. They are Murtala Lawal, Captain Chris Nwaeze, Stephen Jude and Afeez Nosiru.


Meanwhile, the Chairman of the club, Kumbi Titiloye has warned the players against gambling, even as he charged them to remain disciplined on and off the pitch, so as to enjoy the overall benefits of their sacrifice.



Titiloye, who stormed the team's training session this morning in company of the Commissioner for Works, Engr. Rotimi Iliasu, tasked the players on professionalism, and to also take cognisance of the club's ambition for the upcoming season.


Also addressing the players, Engr. Rotimi Iliasu said that the team has raised the profile of the state in sports. He tasked them to build positively on the records created last season, as he assured them of continuous government support.

LiveScores donates customized kits to Abraysports to strengthen ties

 


The club has received a donation of jerseys from the popular sports update website, Livescores.


Livescores donated the jersey to the club to test run a relationship that might yield more possible benefits in the future.


The colour of the jersey is black with an orange stripe at the neck which represents the colour of the website. The black and yellow colour represents the identity of the club.



Speaking on the gesture from Livescores, Abdullahi Yusuf, the Chairman of Abraysports commends the website and believes this will be the beginning of more collaboration between both parties.


"Actually, this is the first step to create a relationship between the club and the website.


"However, I must commend the website for the jerseys and the trust they have with the club. As a club, we believe both parties will benefit from future collaboration. 


Abraysports is an NLO side that compete in the Amateur 1. They narrowly missed out on the qualification playoffs on goal difference at Fed Poly Ekiti in Ekiti center.


The youth side of the team are currently third on the Kwara Youth League table and will play against ZA'AJ FA on Saturday 15, 2021.

NNL: Kwara United to Name Obuh, Bashir as Head Coach, Media Officer

In a bid to stage a quick return to the top flight football in Nigeria, Kwara United are almost set to name former coach of the side, John Sam Obuh as Technical Adviser and Jimoh Bashir as the Spokesperson for another stint with the Harmony Warriors.
