Gothia Cup: Mailantarki shines in a debut World Youth Cup in Sweden

 



The Abuja based high flying football club, Mailantarki Care FC have embarked on yet another brilliant international outing, having won the most recent tournament in Denmark in 2024 by emerging as the overall winners during the 2024 Dana Cup.


A resounding 6-0 victory in the Gothia Cup opener against one of the host clubs, IFK KUMLA, has sent a clear message to the rival clubs in the tournament.


With much intent and a high-pressing game, the boys in blue undid stubborn IFK Kumla, who proved to be more physical in the first 5 minutes before Ejiogu Samuel broke the jinx following his brilliant individual effort from the left flank.


The goals kept pouring in as IFK conceded further 3 goals courtesy of Apas Abel, Sadiq Ashiru, and Akiemute Godstime to round off the first half with a 4-nil comfortable lead.


However, Chukwusa Mathew bagged a brace after the restart to complete the rout on the Kumla based club.


Up next for the rising stars is German club MTV Ramelsloh on Tuesday 15th July, 2025 at the same venue of Torslandavallen, Gothenburg."

Danish side Jammerbugt FC snaps three players from Mailantarki Care Academy


Mailantarki Care Football Academy have announced the successful transfer of three of their players who were discovered in one of the scouting program recently conducted in Abuja to Danish second division side, Jammerugt FC as released on their social media platforms on Monday.  


Sadiq Muhammed Bappa a highly rated talented young star with amazing speed, precision, and technique signed the dotted lines for Danish side Jammerbugt FC for 3 years till 2025. 


Others who also secured the deal include sensational midfielder Sadiq Abdullahi and a winger Umaru Muhammed on the same duration.

The deals was sealed before the end of the winter transfer window on Monday 31st January 2022 and the players are expected to travel to Denmark very soon for the start of their respective professional career with the second-tier club. 


Mailantarki Care Football Academy and Jammerbugt FC negotiations was successful after reaching all the agreements provided in the contract papers presented by the Danish side representative Abdulrahman Umar Baba for an undisclosed fees. 


The highly inspirational football academy owned by Honourable Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki have in the recent past secured another professional contract for two of its players Auwalulu Muhammed and Abdulrahman Sa'idu in Portugal.

Mailantarki Care Football Academy Emerged Winners Of The Maiden Scouting Tournament


The first edition of the Pre-European Clubs Scouting tournament concluded in Gombe Township stadium pantami rounded off in style as Mailantarki Care Football Academy emerged as the overall winners following their outstanding performance against Sergio Football club of Bauchi in the final. 


The Honourable Mailantarki Boys beat its opponent 3-1 to claimed the highest prize set aside by the sponsor of the tournament Honourable Khamisu Ahmed Mailantarki, the CEO of Mailantarki Care Sports Academy Gombe. 


Young Sensational winger Shamsudeen Ibrahim scored brace before turning provider for Isiyaku Sale for the third toward the end of the encounter dominated by the Gombe based football academy. 


Other awards presented on the final day includes 2nd position for the runners-up Sergio FC of Bauchi, 3rd place winners Kano Stars (200,000) and the 4th position Gombe Lions received the sum of N100,000. 


Abdulrahman Sa'idu of Mailantarki Care Football Academy received golden boat for the highest goal scorer award with 5 goals, Abdulazeez Adamu Maiyadi another player from the same club grabbed the best player of the competition, MCFA goalie Abdulazeez Abubakar won a hand gloves for the best goalkeeper award, Abdulbasit Bayo take home adidas boat for the best defender award, while Coach Sule Garba of the tournament winners is the best coach. 


Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya of Gombe State graced the final event through his Director of Protocol Habibu Musa, other dignitaries present includes Gombe State Commissioner of Health Dr Habu Dahiru, Gombe State Sports Commission Executive Chairman Malam Hamza Adamu Soye, Gombe State Football Association Chairman Yakubu Sarma, President/CEO FC Yarmalight Malam Farouk Yarma, Gombe United Football Club Chairman Larry Daniel amongst others.


The Manu Garba lead technical Committee of the scouting tournament shortlisted 82 most talented players from the 30 teams that participated, the shortlisted players will resume camping exercise today in other to be further prepared for the upcoming 24th October major scouting tournament that will feature European football Directors and scouts
