As the race for the state gubernatorial election gathers momentum, the Kogi State Power Shift Ambassadors, has over the weekend Congratulated one of the. frontline governorship aspirant, in APC, Alhaji Suleiman Baba Ali onhis first victory as the best among all the aspirants in the last screening exercise conducted by Kogi Central and West Forum For Equity and Justice.
Presenting the congratulatory letter, the founder of the group, Comrade Abdullahi Onumoko, described the Baba Ali's victory as a boost towards the realization of power shift to other zones of the state.
The power shift ambassadors, according Onumoko, have been in the fore front in the fight against domination by a particular zone of the state.
"We have been championing the call on Kogi Central and West people irrespective of tribe to come together to claim their destiny and ensuring that power, shift to these zones in tthe interest of equity."
"Our mission is to ensure that governorship seat be shifted from the eastern zone of the state to either Kogi Central or west.
We in shift Ambassadors, have put up formidable structures across the local government and wards of the two zones of the old Kwara extraction, Much equivalent to that of political parties, that will serve to work tirelessly in support of any governorship aspirants irrespective of party who is eventually picked in agreement of both Central and Western Senatorial Districts," he added.
Also speaking, Alhaji Suleiman Baba Ali, equally described both the screening result and the congratulatory letter, as a moral booster to his aspiration.
He said the three screening which he always came top, was not magical but divine, urging the group that he is the only aspirant with the unique link to achieve power to the west and central zones of the state.
Meanwhile, the Suleiman Baba Ali, campaign train have commence its delegates campaign across the 21 local government areas of the state.
According to the Director of Media and Publicity of the capmaign team, Muhammad B Abdullahi, the team has started it delegates campaign in the Central zone of the state.
