Abubakar Bukola Saraki Football Club defeated FC Zamfara 2-0 in a week 11 Nigeria National League match decided at the Main-Bowl of the Kwara state stadium, to climb to the second position on the Group A2 table.
The General Manager of the club, Alloy Chukwuemeka said that the victory is a welcome package for the new Chairman of the club, Mr Oluwaseni Saraki, even as he added that the victory has been dedicated to him.
'We have dedicated the victory over FC Zamfara to our new Chairman, Mr. Oluwaseni Saraki. Its a good welcome package for our Chairman', he said.
Anaekwe Crespo Chukwuebuka score the first goal in the 33rd minute when he hammered in to the left of goalkeeper Nura Mohammed at close range.
Ogu Chukwuemeka added another goal ten minutes later, selling a dummy to the goalkeeper.
It was a match that ABS FC dominated from the blast of the whistle, with goalkeeper Boje Abdullahi completely condemned to picking only stray balls.
Despite their dominance, especially in their second half, ABS FC failed to add to the tally, even with the introduction of team's highest goal scorer, Otegbeye Ajibola, Zenke Godwin and Oyota Arinze.
With the victory, ABS now have 15 points, and will on Sunday in Abuja, play FRSC.
After the victory, ABS FC head coach, Moshood Adebayo said that he is hopeful of piloting the team back to the Premier League after the season.
