Technical Adviser of Remo Stars FC, Nduka Ugbade has expressed confidence in his team excelling in the Nigeria National League Super4 due to take place in Gombe.
The Sky Blue Stars have been drawn against Katsina United and a win will see them face winner of the Gombe United and ABS tie
Speaking with RSFC Media, Ugbade says he expects the team to perform very well but the team hasn't been performing up to his expectations.
"I want us to perform very well, am expecting very good performance and the performance that might not be a hundred percent because we are just building the team and our team has not been doing to a large extent to what my expectations would be."
"If I have to convert it by percentage, if I will be expecting by this point about 40 to 50% but my team is just at the level of 30%, so am searching for 30% more that will bring them to like 80% preparatory period."
"It's a game at a time but I need the trophy to motivate the boys but if we don't win the trophy, there won't be any problem as long as we perform very well and am able to add just 20% to the previous 30 to 40% to what the team is before the commencement of the league."
The Technical Adviser also gave his thoughts about his expectations against Katsina United in the first game in the NNL Super4 tournament.
"I expect a very good performance on our side against Katsina United on Wednesday and it would be at the level of that same 40%, not asking for anything beyond our control, am looking something that will be much more psychological in nature because most of our players have not been at this level before undermining that all of them are playing in the same level and we are not yet playing the premier league, we are still playing the NNL Super4."
"But the issue it that I want good performance against Katsina, I want to see certain things and I want us to play more better and be more coordinated against them."
Speaking in the same vain Head Coach of the team, Daniel Ogunmode also said he expects nothing short from victory against Katsina United in the NNL Super4 tournament.
"We expect nothing short of victory, we will play to win and more assessment of our team after series of matches and preparation."
"Playing against them is also an avenue to assess and play a team from the north before our debut in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) considering the change of climate."
The Sky Blues Stars will play against Katsina United while Gombe will play against ABS FC
