Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clubs have been reminded by the League Management Company (LMC) that breaches of the NPFL Framework and Rules will be met with appropriate sanctions to sustain the gains of the reforms to reposition club football in the country.

NPFL Clubs, LMC hold Midseason Review Session


  • Clubs rate half season successful, to pay fines within 10 working days

At the end of a midseason review session in Abuja, Monday, Chairmen and General Managers of clubs in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) rated the half season as successful with a call on the League Management Company (LMC) to improve on some lapses that were observed in the course of the first 190 matches. On their side, the clubs pledged to be proactive in dealing with fans who are involved in violent acts at the stadium by apprehending the fans and handing them over to law enforcement agents for prosecution.

Jos Appeal Court Orders non-tampering with subject of LMC Appeal

The Court of Appeal, Jos Division which sat on Monday has directed that there should be no attempt to tamper with the subject matter of the appeal file by the League Management Company (LMC) against the orders of Justice I.I. Kunda of the Plateau State High Court, Jos. This is even as the Inspector General of Police on Monday increased Police presence at the premises of the LMC to protect the staff and its activities.

LMC Files for Stay of Execution of Court Order on reinstatement of Giwa FC



.... Asks Appeal Court to set aside the Order

The League Management Company (LMC) on Tuesday, August 23 filed an appeal against the Plateau State High Court order asking it to reinstate Giwa FC to the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL). The LMC, in its appeal filed by Chief Akin Olujimi (SAN),aying the Court of Appeal to set aside the interim order of the Plateau State High Court, Jos on several grounds of law and challenging the jurisdiction of the lower court to have granted the orders in the first place.
