Alimi wants more NPFL VAT Wonder Goal prize to support charity


Sikiru Alimi has the typical build of an active athlete and spots the scraggly beards that is trendy amongst contemporary youths globally. But his appearances does not give a hint of his push and drive on the pitch, a monstrous chase that covers almost every blade of grass on the field in pursuit or possession of the ball.

Osanga Heroics Inspire Wolves to Beat Akwa United



Former Flying Eagles forward King Osanga was voted man of the match as he inspired Warri Wolves to beat visiting Akwa United 3-1 in a rescheduled Nigeria Professional Football League, NPFL game Sunday morning.
The game that was earlier fixed for Saturday couldn't take place as a result of rain and the organizer (LMC) decided the game be played in the early hours of this morning.

Wolves are now 14th on the table with 34 points from 27 matches, while Akwa United slipped to 10thwith 36 points.

It was the visitors who stunned the home team in the 34th minute through Fortune Omoniwari's wonderful strike.

Sikiru Alimi then drew Wolves level 10 minutes later from the penalty spot after the lively Osanga was felled inside the box, before Osanga made it 2-1 for the Seasiders when he finished off a fine move he started in the midfield on the hour.

Kevin Itoya made the game safe for Wolves on 67 minutes.

LMC Sanctions Warri Wolves, FC IfeanyiUbah for Fans Unruly Conduct



Warri Wolves and FC IfeanyiUbah were Thursday handed varying fines and sanctions by the League Management Company (LMC) in a Summary Jurisdiction notice issued the two clubs for breaches of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Rules during their respective Match Days 25 and 26 fixtures.
