Mahanaim and Al Masi collaboration sends talented winger Jassy to Europe

The pipeline from Nigerian grassroots football to the European stage has produced another gem.

Skilful winger Edward Jassy has officially signed a professional contract with Czech Republic side SK Sigma Olomouc, marking a major milestone for the 18-year-old and the academies that nurtured his talent.

Jassy’s move is the result of a strategic collaboration between Al Masi FC and Mahanaim FC.

The young attacker has committed his immediate future to Sigma with a three-year contract, which includes an option for an additional year, signaling the club's confidence in his long-term potential.

While Jassy arrives in the Czech Republic via Al Masi, his footballing foundation was built in Abuja.

Mahanaim FC oversaw his crucial developmental years, where he was polished under the guidance of Coach Lawal Dankoli.

Jassy is described as a "wing wizard" with the versatility to operate on either flank. Known for his nimble footwork and a fearless approach to taking on defenders, his quick decision-making in the final third makes him a constant threat to opposition backlines.

The move to Sigma Olomouc places the highly-rated prodigy in a prime environment for growth.

The Czech top flight is well-regarded for its tactical discipline, providing the perfect platform for Jassy to refine his raw speed and technical ability into a finished product.

Jassy will find familiar faces in the Czech Republic to help him settle. He joins his former Mahanaim teammate Samuel Sokoato at the club, following in the footsteps of Ahmad Ghali, another Mahanaim alumnus who has already established himself as a key figure in Sigma’s first team.
