Indebtedness to players: Taraba offers Undertaken to pay within 7 days

LMC reminds Warri Wolves of Oct. 25th deadline.

FC Taraba United has been granted 10 working days extension to pay up all amount due players of the club or face sanctions which includes points deduction just as Warri Wolves got a reminder that it has up to October 24th, 2015 to also pay all indebtedness to its players. The LMC also wrote to the players of Warri Wolves through their captain to draw their attention to relevant regulations guiding players’ declaration of industrial dispute with their clubs and reminded them that in line with relevant articles of the Framework and Rule, the Club still has three weeks to comply with the summary jurisdiction notice issued it by the LMC.

NPFL Club Officials complete Workshop at LBS sponsored by the LMC

Top Management officials of the 20 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) clubs completed another series of capacity building workshop at the Lagos Business School faculty of the Pan African University in Lagos. The third of such training for the club officials, the workshop which lasted two days also had the Club Media Officers in attendance while a rich pool of Resource persons including Dr. Larry Izamoje, Chairman and CEO of Sports Radio, Brila Fm, Chicago-based Sports Marketing Professional, Dr. Idorenyin Uyoe and Dele Odugbemi, the Managing Director of Media Share Ltd amongst others.

EX-BASKETBALL INTERNATIONAL TO HOLD BASKETBALL YOUTH CAMP IN ONITSHA

Ex-basketball international, Samuel Oguche has announced that the Bullet Energy basketball camp will hold its next camp in south East Nigeria for the first time. 
Celebrating the 3rd edition of Bullets Energy Drink basketball youth camp within a year, the famed energy drink will be expanding its camp this year to accommodate other geo-political zones in the country. 
The Camp will be held from Monday 2nd of November to Thursday 5th of November at The Army Cantonment Basketball Court, Army Barracks in the city of Onitsha and its part of Bullets energy drink contribution to sports development in Nigeria. 
Oguche stressed that running the Bullets Energy Drink basketball camp has become very important because it’s a way of giving back and encouraging the youth. 
According to him, using basketball to educate and develop Nigerian youth is just the beginning of what needs to be accomplished and It is a responsibility for us to inspire them to keep aiming high by providing them opportunities to grow. 
Over 200 kids would receive intense basketball training and the opportunity for scholarship and US study from the legendary Samuel Oguche along with.

  • Leading US coaches including Anthony Gorham Jr (Washington DC), Lliyas B Rahman (Maryland), Gregory A Brown (Fort Lauderdale) and Osita Victor Nwachukwu (Wisconsin)

WE ARE READY FOR MARK D' BALL 2015 - Igoche Mark

The 2015 edition of the annual Mark ‘D Ball basketball tournament draw near and the Chief Executive Officer of the biggest basketball tournament in the country, Igoche Mark has given assurance that the December show piece will raise the bar in participation and organization. 
Igoche Mark who is the initiator of the Mark d' ball tournament also confirmed that the equipment needed for the tournament have already arrived and all preparations have been made to ensure a smooth and rewarding tournament.
The tournaments proper which is powered by Mark Sports Foundation is targeted at grooming young kids and renowned basketball coaches within and outside the country will grace the event.
The cordinator of the tourment, Obande Ogbole says that this year's event is expected to be more glamorous with more than 350 children within the ages of eight to sixteen years would be trained and that those selected after the training would be given scholarships to go to school and also build up their career in sports.
The Media Coordinator of the tournament, Comrade James Oche declared that world class basketball stars, some international and retired players like Ejike Ugboaja, Osita Nwachukwu, Sam Oguche, Victor Odomu and Ogoh Odaudu will once again turn the city into a frenzy of activities. Comrade Oche stated further that other side attractions will include music, comedy, the face of Idoma beauty pageant and a visit to the orphanage. 
According to him, the line up of musicians and celebrities expected to feature at the event includes, 2Face Idibia, Olamide, Patoranking, Phyno and others.
The tournament is hugely supported by the Former Senate President and still distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator David Mark and it is designed to help young people become better citizens of this Nation.
The scintillating annual basketball tournament takes place in the town of Otukpo in Nigeria's central state of Benue, this December.

ABS FC no longer a feeder team - Seni Saraki

The Chairman of Abubakar Bukola Saraki FC, Seni Saraki has said that the club will henceforth, no longer serve as a feeder team to other teams in the Nigerian league, but operate like a standard outfit that promotes the ideals of the league.
