Giwa Board Swings to Action.... Sack Olajire as NFF Media Officer


*Addresses media on way forward

*More sacks and appointments to come by Monday

In a swift reaction to the Federal High Court order, the Ambassador Chris Giwa board has resumed in the Glass House with three of the board members storming the secretariat where they announced the sack of the Head of the media, Ademola Olajire and announced a replacement in Dr Robinson Okosun.


Making the announcement, Chief Effiong Johnson who was supported by Alhaji Sani Fema and Chief Victor Rumson Baribote met with the staff of the secretariat after which he spoke with journalists.

He said, “I have the instruction of the new NFF President, Ambassador Chris Giwa to announce that Mr. Ademola Olajire has been relieved of his job and replaced with Dr Robinson Okosun.

According to Effiong, “we shall be having our board meeting at the weekend where other decisions, especially policy, shall be taken and Nigerians shall be duly informed.”

He also told journalists that the new NFF President had already spoken to the Super Falcons to do their best and win in Dakar, the Senegalese capital. The team secured a 1-1 draw.

Authoritative sources close to the new board of the NFF told www.gongnews.net that, “we shall by Monday announce several other positions of authority in the NFF. We shall hold our board meeting where major issues shall be discussed and the outcome made public.

When Effiong and his men met with the staffers of the secretariat he told them “This is not going to be business as usual. Though, you have nothing to be afraid of. Remain calm until we meet to take certain decisions. We are here to bring concrete developments to the dwindling fortunes of Nigerian football.
