The quarter-final matches of the maiden edition of the Nigeria Ex-Internationals Cup, Lagos Chapter and organised by Lagos State Football Association (LSFA), will hold on Tuesday 25th June.
In the first game of the day, FC Agbai who eliminated FC Temile and FC Oloyede respectively to reach this stage, would trade tackles with the formidable FC Ipaye at the Legacy Pitch. Kick-off is 7am.
The second match is between FC Ekpo and FC Udeze at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena. The game will get underway at 12 noon.
To reach this stage, FC Ekpo defeated hard-fighting FC Enegwae in the keenly contested rounds of 16.
High-riding FC Udeze dazed FC Elahor and FC Okpara respectively, to set-up this interesting affair.
Meanwhile, FC Agali would trade tackles with FC Obafemi in what promises to be a tough encounter.
Both sides weathered the storm to reach this stage and would be ready to give an arm or leg for a spot in the last four. The game is billed to take place at 2pm.
The last match of the quarter-final could be termed 'Father v Son'. However, age counts for nothing. What might expectedly come to play, is the technical and tactical abilities of the coaches and of course, the players.
Interesting facts of both coaches; mentors to both teams, have it that Henry Nwosu is credited to have been the youngest player to have played and won the African Cup of Nations, a feat he achieved in 1980 with the then Green Eagles.
Nduka Ugbade is equally the first ever person to captain any Nigerian age- group team to World Cup success in 1985.
Both legends are once again expected to be on the dugouts ditching out instructions to their boys in the last quater-final clash, which is expected to be explosive.
The match is slated for 4pm at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena.
