WHY ODODO/OGBO TICKET IS THE SURE BET FOR KOGI AGENDA

...X-raying the electoral strength of Kogi Eastern Senatorial District and the possible expectations

There is no gainsaying that the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kogi State has commenced process of scouting for the running mate for its Party Flag bearer, Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo.

If APC must win from an unbiased analysis, Alhaji Usman Ododo has to pick a running mate from Kogi Eastern Senatorial district.

This is premised on the combination of votes that will emanate from both Kogi East and Central Senatorial districts of the state.

While the Eastern Senatorial District is expected to be given consideration because of its large number of registered voters, especially in Ankpa, Omala, and Olamaboro Federal Constituency, and Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency, the APC need to recommend a capable personality, a thoroughbred leader with striking credentials to fly its ticket with the flag bearer.

First, Dekina/Bassa Federal Constituency, no doubt, has large registered voters. However, the same federal Constituency is known to have a scattered voting pattern due to its counterpart local Government (Bassa Local Government), as reflected in the last general elections.
As such, any personality from that axis may not be an easy ride for the success of the All Progressives Congress (APC) at the Gubernatorial election.

Secondly, Idah, Igala-Mela, Ofu, and Ibaji Federal Constituency has almost three (3) gubernatorial candidates for the November Gubernatorial Poll, an obvious indication that the APC will be expecting divided votes from among the candidates.

This of course will affect APC's outing at the Gubernatorial Poll even as we have Kogi East APC chairman from the same axis.

On records, Idah, Igala-Mela, Ofu, and Ibaji Federal axis has had scattered pattern of votes since 1999.
In Ibaji for example, majority of voters often vote in 2 directions: Anti-government votes and Pro-religion votes.

This is mainly because Ibaji people are perceived as outcasts in Igala land possibly because of the tongue difference (which is largely influenced by Igbo and Christianity) and the main Igala (which is often influenced by common ancestry).

More so, Ankpa, Omala, and Olamaboro Federal Constituency is known to be a bloc vote centre overtime. Specifically, Ankpa Local Government Area came second in the last general elections ahead of Dekina Local Government Area despite the number of registered voters in Dekina Local Government Area.

It's on record that Dekina has not always been up to its potential because of the following reason:

It is often the center of the ruling party in Kogi East and It is also often the center of the opposition in Kogi State. This are varifiable pieces of information.

From this analysis, there is no doubt that Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman will fit in as Ododo's running mate to Alhaji Ahmed Usman Ododo because of his detribalised nature.

The Doctor of Political Economy has demonstrated and still demonstrating his unbiased way of life when it comes to religious or ethnic difference as obviously portrayed by having his ADC a Christian, Personal Assistant, official Videographer/ photographer, Public Relations Unit officer a Christian, his immediate allies and virtually all the establishment headed by Christains in Kogi State Polytechnic, Lokoja.

Dr. Usman is the only man whose name rings bell, positively in Kogi West and Central Senatorial Districts and I can assure you that this combo of Hon Ahmed Usman Ododo and Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman will win Election seamlessly and convincingly if put together by securing two–third Majority votes across the three senatorial districts, thus exposing and replacing incompetence with competency, capacity and commitments.

It will further ignite the wave of public reorientation and sensitization on the true essence of the representative (and the nature of responsibility that ought to accompany it) and the many public benefits and entitlements that ought to be trickling down from such representative offices as dividends of democracy.

It will also succeed in raising the bar of representation and triggering the spirit of public advocacy for transparency and accountability.

I'm sure the leadership of the party is considering this combination, and if not, now is the time to give it a deep-thought.

Kogi State will be great again devoid of ethnic and religious SENTIMENTS.

ODODO/OGBO: THE COMBINATION OF HOPE AND OPTIMISM FOR A MORE PROSPEROUS KOGI STATE

As Kogi State Governorship Election slated for November this year draws nearer, waiting for the appropriate time the Independent National Electoral commission (INEC) will give directives on campaign activities, the All Progressives Congress (APC) flag bearer and his clamoured running mate have continued to consult and reassure Kogites of their collective responsibility in building 'NewKogi' devoid of religious and parochial ethnic sentiments.

This is in view of the obvious fact that social media feelers have continued to maintain that Honorable Ahmed Usman Ododo's ticket with Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman would no doubt, be centred on developmental issues of economy, access to health and education, plans for industrialization, security, jobs, reformation of decaying ethical and social values, political accountability and all inclusiveness.

For some, the combination is a rebirth of a greater patriotism, tolerance, maturity and political accommodation which will be necessarily sustained as exhibited by political leaders of the Independence era, who despite youthful ages resolved complex divisive issues in the state's interest by working out political compromises.

Behold, the promise of 'NewKogi' with personalities of unquestionable characters, track records, impact and of course competence, readiness and commitment towards consolidating on the gains and achievements of Governor Yahaya Bello blueprint.

The future of Our dear Kogi State is brighter than bleaker, but we need to get some things under control, and it must be NOW!

Think Ododo and Ogbo ticket for a #NewKogi

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗣𝗲𝗼𝗽𝗹𝗲'𝘀 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗽𝗶𝗼𝗻: 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝗗𝗿. 𝗦𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘂 𝗢𝗴𝗯𝗼 𝗨𝘀𝗺𝗮𝗻 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗘𝗹𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝗮t𝗲s

As we reflect on the just concluded elections, it is important to highlight the critical role played by Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman. Dr. Ogbo's leadership and impact on his community has been nothing short of remarkable. He is a man who truly embodies the values of good governance, empathy, and service to the people.

When Dr. Ogbo campaigned tirelessly for the re-election bid of Governor Yahaya Adoza Bello, his message was simple: Governor Bello listens to us, and if we work for his re-election, we will be in a position to demand a role in governance. Dr. Ogbo promised to create job opportunities for the people of Ankpa, and he has kept his word.

Since then, Dr. Ogbo has continued to serve as a champion for the people of Ankpa and Kogi State at large. His sterling performance, unending attribution of his successes to the governor and all those who helped him throughout his life (which shows how grateful he is), facilitating employment opportunities for youths, and philanthropy have endeared him to the people and brought many closer to government.

Dr. Ogbo's leadership skills and inclusive approach to governance have been critical to his success. He understands that leadership is not about dictating from above, but about listening to the people and working together to achieve common goals. By being closer to the people, humble, good, kind, and performing excellently, he has gained the trust and respect of the people in Ankpa and beyond.

In the just concluded elections, Dr. Ogbo's influence was felt more than ever before. Though he was not on the ballot, he played a crucial role in gathering support for the candidates of the All Progressive Congress (APC) in Ankpa and beyond. He rallied his community behind the APC, and his efforts paid off as the party recorded significant gains in the area.

Dr. Ogbo's impact on the elections is a testament to the power of good governance and effective leadership. By prioritizing the needs of the people and working tirelessly to meet them, he has earned their trust and become a beacon of hope for many. His achievements in Kogi State Polytechnic serve as a model for other leaders to emulate, and we can only hope that his legacy will inspire many more like him to serve the people with dedication and humility.

Dr. Salisu Ogbo Usman: A quintessential leader who cares enough to put others first

The good  people of Ankpa recently witnessed an outstanding story of selflessness and service to the community, and it revolved around Dr Salisu Ogbo Usman, who recently gave his best and put himself in a position to benefit his people in the area.

Dr. Usman is an exemplary leader, who has done considerable work in the community and is respected for his commitment to give back to the society.

He recently delivered the four polling units around his community for the All Progress Congress (APC). This move was lauded for its positive impact in the community and showed his dedication to ensuring a better future for everyone living in Kogi State.

The work Dr. Usman did to make sure his people voted for the APC in the election is commendable. He worked day and night to ensure that he was able to gain the trust of the people and earn their votes.

He organized meetings, participated in debates and had rallies to discuss the importance of voting.

The OmaOja Ata Igala also took charge of the ‘get-out-the vote’ drive, where he juggled his resources and skills to ensure that all the eligible voters in his community go out and cast their votes in the election.

Dr. Usman's work indicates that leaders should not just be focused on personal gains but should also keep in mind the interest of the people they serve.

His story is a lesson to both leaders and the general public that when given the platform to serve the people, people should always give the best of themselves. It is important to always serve the people in order to be served when needed.

His story also serves as an example of what happens when someone cares enough to put others first.

We need more leaders just like Dr. Usman - kind-hearted and God-fearing human beings - in the political arena in Kogi State.

When you do good, you don't need to struggle for good in return. God bless sir. Kooloo!
