Makanjuola who made the final list to the mundial in Poland said the team knew exactly what the country expected from them and would give it all to make them proud.
"I'm excited to make the team to the World Cup, its a tough challenge from the pool of many talented players, this means a lot to me and I'm looking forward to a great outing with the team in Poland.
"The preparation has been unbelievable, we've had a wonderful build up to the tournament, we've been playing well, we're learning, we're all enjoying it and really want to make history with this team by going all the way to win it," he said.
Coach Paul Aigbogun's team face Qatar in their first match in Tychy on 24th of May and Water FC's attacker knows Nigeria have a tough task in winning their first game to gather more confidence.
The first match of a competition like this is not always an easy game, but it's a game we feel we are ready for. We're confident but we know it's going to be very difficult.
Nigeria's other group games will be against USA and Ukraine.
