Organizers identify nine exceptional talents from Lagos Supremacy Cup scouting tourney

 


Nine players have been selected for further development at the end of the Lagos Supremacy Cup Scouting Tournament.


The footballers excelled and impressed scouts on ground at the four-day competition which took place in Onikan.


Bangora Mohammed (36 Lion), Ibrahim Kehinde (36 Lion), Hitler Eniye (36 Lion), Hyacinih Ogonna (Dino SC) and Blessing Essien (Dino SC) made the cut.


Others are Timilehin Oluwaseun (Dino SC), Ifesinachi Obiaku (36 Lion), Nnamdi Buchi (CATS) and Abasiekeme John (CATS) were also selected.


The budding talents will have their video clips cut as Scouts aim to send these footages to 10 European clubs for further assessments.



It will be recalled that 36 Lion emerged winners of the Lagos Supremacy Cup Scouting Tournament after defeating Spartan 4-3 on penalties in the final played at Mobolaji Johnson Arena on Tuesday.


Meanwhile, action moves to the Northern part of Nigeria, where the Katsina Supremacy Cup Scouting Tournament takes place at Rarara Stadium.


Danjan Academy, Katsina United, Faskari Danburan and Malumfashi have been pencilled down for the competition which holds from March 30 to 31.

No Offside Scouting Tourney: Diamond Sports team up with Lagos Supremacy Cup

 


The Lagos Supremacy Cup Scouting Tournament will take place from March 25th to 28th at Mobolaji Johnson Arena.


Dino SC, SGFC, Broad City, TCCG, 36 Lion, CATS, ASQ, Lekki Junior Strikers, Spartan and MS Success will participate at the tournament.


In Group A are Broad City, TCCG, Lekki Junior Strikers, Spartan and ASQ.



Dino SC, SGFC, 36 Lion, MS Success and CATS are in Group B.


Diamond Sports has thrown its weight behind the competition as it fits into the vision of growing domestic sport.


"Diamond Sports is supporting organizers with the logistics that they require to pull off the competition because we believe in creating opportunities for young people to show their talent and be discovered," said Diamond Sports CEO Cem Sagar.

Organizers have continued to reach out to corporate partners and encourage them to support such domestic and grassroot sports to ensure deliverables and proper running of the lofty project.
