Kogi Guber Poll: Tribunal Admits Wada’s Expert Report, Dismisses APC, INEC’s Objection

The Kogi State Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja on Friday dismissed objections by counsels to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), the All Progressives Congress (APC) and Kogi State governor, Yahaya Bello and ordered the defendants to proceed with their defense after counsel to the complainant, Idris Wada tendered a report by forensic experts which established irregularities in the Kogi gubernatorial poll.

Kogi Assembly Crisis: Umar Iman Resumes Sitting as Speaker

Umar Imam-led faction of Kogi State House Assembly yesterday, defied the reconciliatory efforts by the House of Representatives and sat for the first time at the State House of Assembly complex, Lokoja, where it elected Deputy Speaker, Minority Whip and also passed the state budget for a second reading.

This came even as the MomohJimoh Lawal-led faction was still hibernating in Abuja.

Things would have been normal in the state, but it has turned contrary to the expectation of people in the country, no thanks, to the Independent National Electoral Commission and its returning officer in the election, Professor Emmanuel Kucha; John Odigie Oyegun led All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Attorney General of the Federation, Alhaji Abubakar Mallami.
