SA Sports Promise More Support to Kogi United, Confluence Queens



Newly appointed Special Adviser on Youth Empowerment, Sports and Student Affairs to the Executive Governor of Kogi State, Comrade Deola Eseyin has promised to give more support to the state owned clubs, Confluence Queens and Kogi United to uplift the state through sports.

Comrade Eseyin made the pronouncement during his courtesy visit to the Yahaya Bello Ladies’ training venue at the Lokoja Confluence Stadium on Thursday.

He said the two clubs would be given attention through his office adding that they have what it takes to make the state proud and popular through football.

“His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello believes that Sport is a unifying factor. That is why he has promised to invest in Confluence Queens and Kogi United,” Comrade Eseyin told Confluence Queens Media.

On his own part, the young administrator vowed to encourage the darling teams of the Confluence State.

I want to commend the management of the state clubs for what you're doing, we are happy that His Excellency is a sports loving Governor, I promise that  I will give every necessary support to both teams to achieve success and greatness in their  programmes," he said.
The SA urged the two clubs to avoid unnecessary distractions just as he appealed to the players to co-operate with the management and technical staff.

Chairman of the two teams, Mallam Abdul Sule thanked the Kogi State Government and Comrade Eseyin for their massive supports and encouragement, promising that the clubs would not disappoint in their league campaigns.

“His Excellency Alhaji Yahaya Bello has helped us carry out our programmes without any form of hitch, I'm happy he is a sport loving Governor. We haven’t been found wanting in our activities.”
"Our gratitude goes to the Governor for his love to the two teams,” he added.
