Vice Chairman of Kogi State Football Association,
Mallam Hassan Wada has disclosed that the state-owned clubs - Kogi United and
Confluence Queens - will be reorganized following the decision of Chairman Mr
Abdul Adama to quit his post.
“Well, it was unexpected (Adama’s resignation) but we have to immediately reorganize ourselves. The key is stability, focus and hard work,” Wada said.
On the disappointing ouster of Kogi United from the 2015 Federation Cup for the first time in over nine years, he said: “such is football and could happen to any team.”
Ahead of the new Nigeria National League season which kicks-off on April 19, the football administrator confidently assured that, “Kogi United will be ready and will surely do well.”
