NNL: Kwara United to Name Obuh, Bashir as Head Coach, Media Officer

In a bid to stage a quick return to the top flight football in Nigeria, Kwara United are almost set to name former coach of the side, John Sam Obuh as Technical Adviser and Jimoh Bashir as the Spokesperson for another stint with the Harmony Warriors.



The appointment is expected to be confirmed by the Kwara State Government next week ahead of their sojourn in the Nigeria National league (NNL).

Obuh, who was the technical director of FC Ifeanyi Ubah last season and Bashir worked under Prince Oladimeji Thompson who was the club chairman in 2009 when they fetched a speedy return to the top flight.

A top source in Ilorin confirm that Obuh would take over the reins next week and that the identities of those that would be working with the new kwara united chairman, Prince Thompson, popularly known as "Henry George" would also be made public at the same time.

Coach Tunde Abdulrahman could not have his appointment renewed as he failed to safe the Harmony Warriors from dropping to second tier division of the Nigerian league.

Jimoh Bashir, who heads the sports desk of The Herald Newspaper will be replacing Olayinka Owolewa of NAN as the club's Media Officer.
