AB Trials for Kogi United Jerome










Danish club, Akademisk Boldklub, AB have extended an invitation on trials for Kogi United top striker, John Jerome with option to secure contract.

Jerome, who joined the Confluence club midway through last season, scored three goals in six appearances for Kogi United.

He has since arrived Gladsaxe, Copenhagen on Thursday where he's expected to convince the coaches and officials of AB of given a full contract through training and in selected matches for the club.

Chairman of Kogi United, Abdul Sule, who brokered the opportunity for the trial, was a former player of the club and ambassador for the Danish based sportswear company, Hummel.


While expressing delight of the opportunity, Jerome promised to justify and make good use of the opportunity which would serve as gateway for other players to join clubs in that area.

"I feel delighted with this chance to continue my career in Europe, it's a rare opportunity, I thank the chairman and those that make this happened and I promise not to disappoint them and be a good ambassador of Kogi United and Nigeria.

Akademisk Boldklub Gladsaxe (AB) is a Danish professional football club from Gladsaxe north of Copenhagen, currently playing at the 3rd highest level in Danish domestic football, the 2nd Division.

The club was formed in 1889 by a group of academics, and the only requirement to play for the club at that time was to be a university student. The club was dominant in early Danish football and won the Danish championship, which was introduced in 1913, in 1919 and 1921.
