Kwara United Apologizes to Fans, Supporters, Stakeholders

Kwara United has apologized to its fans and supporters over the home loss the team suffered on Saturday in Ilorin against Gombe United FC.
Gombe United Saturday pegged back promotion hopes of Kwara United when they shocked the home team 1-0 in a Week 12 Nigeria National League (NNL) match played at the Main-Bowl Kwara State Stadium.
The win shot Gombe United to the top of the Group A2 table with 22 points, while Kwara with 20 points slip behind Dreams International FC, who also lost 2-1 at Adamawa United.
The team, being tutored by former Flying Eagles coach, John Obuh, is seeking a prompt return to the top flight after they were relegated last season.
In a message by the Chairman of the Club, Prince Oladimeji Ladi Thompson, the team apologized to its fans, supporters and all the stakeholders, even as he said that all hope is not lost in the bid to win the sole NPFL ticket in the group.
He charged the fans and supporters to continue to support and pray for the team, as the players and officials have been asked to redouble their efforts ahead of the two remaining matches.
Gombe United, Kwara United and Dreams FC, owned by former Lobi Stars chieftain Dominic Iorfa, are now involved in a tight promotion race.
