NNL Promotion Race: Dreams FC Lobbies Adamawa for Points

As the Nigeria National League, NNL enters into promotion race among clubs, Dream International FC, owned by former Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) board member, Domonic Iorfa is seeking three points at all cost, against host Adamawa United FC Fufore on Saturday, as the NNL resumes again.

Dream International FC, who are currently leading the Group A2 table with 21 points have two away games and one home game to end the league, with clubs like Kwara United FC (with 20 points) and Gombe United (with 19 points) also contesting for the sole ticket available to the group.

Kwara United FC, who are second on the table have two more home matches and an away game, which prompted Dream International FC planning to go for the whole points against Adamawa United FC in order to gain advantage over others.

Iorfa had boasted that even though Dream International FC is a privately owned club, he will get the sole ticket in the group to shame all the government clubs who are together in the race.

Reports available to us indicated that the team has been making several moves to buy or forcefully wrestle the three points from Adamawa United FC in Fufore this weekend.

The report added that the team also approached some of the players and officials of Adamawa United FC to allow them win the match, since, according to them, Adamawa United had nothing at stake in the league couple with the recent attitude of Chairman for the Yola based club, Emmanuel Zira.

The NNL has been on break since August 20th, after the Week 11 matches, with the NNL assuring all the clubs of adequate monitoring of the three remaining matches.

The NNL also planned to deploy Premier League match officials for the remaining games to allow for worthy winners emerge in all the four groups.
