Match Report: Remo Stars 1-0 Katsina United


Dufegha Eric's 89th minute debut goal secures maximum points for Remo Stars Football Club (RSFC) against Katsina United in one of Match Day 17 fixtures at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu.

The Sky Blue Stars started the game brilliantly with Onovo David having the first attempt in the 2nd minute.

Oche Salefu connected well with Onovo David but couldn't convert for the Sky Blue Stars before Victor Mbaoma was caught in an offside position.

Ashadi Destiny had a lovely chance for the Visitors to convert, he tries a shot that goes directly into the hands of Walbe David.

The game continued with great chances from Ekene Awazie, Oche Salefu and Victor Mbaoma but Katsina United's Danjuma Dami Paul was brilliant to deny Remo Stars from going ahead.

The second half started with wonderful pass skills from Victor Mbaoma and Ekene Awazie to Oche Salefu, he anxiously played it straight into the hands of Danjuma Dami Paul.

The visitors had another chance to go ahead but Oknuoghae Osas and Obi Ekene stood to deny them. 

Victor Mbaoma had a chance to put the host ahead from Awoyemi Abiodun's free kick, Katsina United's Danjuma was took good to deny him yet again.

Super Sub, Dufegha Eric stole the show with the winning goal in the 89th minute of the game to restore hope from the Sky Blue Stars in the last home game of the first half of the season.
