Ajoku promises to rediscover scoring form against Gombe


Niger Tornadoes' top scorer in the ongoing Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), Chidebere Blessing Ajoku has promised to return to scoring form.

Ajoku last scored on match day 7 in Niger Tornadoes 0-1 win over Remo Stars in Sagamu, Ogun State, he said that he was not happy not to have scored in last two matches even when he has given himself a 15 goals target.

“Am not happy that I have not scored since getting the lone goal winner at the match day 7 at the Gateway International Stadium, Sagamu”, he said.
The free scoring former Heartland FC of Owerri striker said that he has been training hard and promising his fans that on match day 10 at the Confluence Stadium, Lokoja he will return to scoring form.

The former Naze Millionaire player said that it was not just about scoring, but assisting his side secure maximum points when they host Gombe United on Sunday.

“It is not about me scoring, but if I see the opportunity I will take it. Am not going to force it happen, goal scoring is a natural thing. If I can’t score I will assist others to score. It is a team work”, Ajoku explained.

With four goals to his name, Ajoku expects that he surpass his previous achievement and he believes he can make it as every opportunity was given to him in Niger Tornadoes to excel.

Niger Tornadoes sits 8th on the log with 12 points and will be up against 10th placed with Gombe United who are new boys in the league.
