NNL Matchday Two Preview: Kogi United vs FRSC FC


Kogi United FC will be playing host to Federal Road Safety Commission, FRSC FC in one of the Matchday Two of the Nigeria National League, NNL on Saturday in Lokoja.

The match billed for Confluence Stadium, Lokoja by 4pm will be Kogi United's first home game of the season haven suffered a slim one nil defeat to FC Zamfara in the season's opener in Gusau penultimate week.

The team, now tutored by acting Head Coach, Abubakar Musa are expected to show real determination and focus to record a convincing home win to ward off their disappointing defeat in Gusau.

United's visitors, Road Safety club who won their first league game against Kaduna United by 1-0 will be coming to Lokoja with confidence and expectation of getting any meaningful result.
 

Coach Musa however disclosed that his wards have shaken up from their last game and are fired up to start their home game with a positive result just as he called for calm from the supporters and fans of the club to be patient with Kogi United as the club would make them proud this season.

Musa told www.kogiunitedfc.com that "We are fully ready to host FRSC, we've been preparing for this since last week, and I'm confident we will come out with a win and a good game," begin Coach Musa.

"We know it may not be an easy game with our opponent who have won their first game, that will give the, a bit of confidence but we will be going into the game with higher confidence and target for a win, I will just appeal to everyone to keep the faith in us that we can achieve great success this season and make everybody proud," the former Sunshine Stars' striker said.

Echoing his coach's stance on the expectation of the match, Kogi United's midfield enforcer, Micheal Bolaji said that him and his team mates will record a convincing victory over FRSC adding that the boys would use the match to send message to their contenders as they aim to claim something special this season.
