Chairman of Niger state football association alhaji Ahmed Yusuf Fresh has presented the maiden edition of Niger state deputy governor's under 21 peace and unity cup ( trophy) as he set sights on grassroots development in the power state.
Ahmedfresh.com reported that the event which took place immediately after the state government under the of alhaji sani Bello who hosted the state's Football team ' Niger tornadoes' at the government house.
Shortly after the state football team ceremony with the governor of the power state ( sani bello) comrade Ahmed YUSUF fresh who was apparently part the first event was ushered in by the protocol officers of the state government house where he made a formal introduction of the maiden edition of Niger state deputy governor's under 21 peace and unity cup by presenting the giant trophy to deputy governor himself ( His Excellency Alh Ahmed Mohammed Ketso), who was full of happiness whilst receiving the tournament's trophy from comrade Ahmed YUSUF fresh.
At the event, Ahmed YUSUF Fresh told ahmedfresh. Com the essence of the coming event in the power state.
' I would like to appreciate the gov of my state for the wonderful supports they have been giving us ( niger state football association) I am confess as an association we are pleased' He said
"concerning the forthcoming tournament we deem it necessary as an association to keep our youths here in the power state busy with good football competition of cause we have been able to see the gains of these initiatives I mean we have the governor's cup which has been up and running for many years, the speakers cup.
"So we want the governor's office to be engaged in the projects of keeping the youths away from vices as well and to also use his office as the deputy governor of the power state by making positive marks, impacts in the life our the state's youths that is why we distinguished it from other tournaments ( under 21)fresh explained
Ahmedfresh.com further gathered that His Excellency Alh Ahmed Mohammed Ketso Who is the deputy governor of Niger state who represented the governor the state few months ago had earlier proposed mokwa local government to be the venue of the maiden edition, of deputy governor's under 21 peace and unity cup tourney which tentatively kicks start 17th of November 2017, would be staged in Mokwa local government and it shall have other local (25) in Niger State presenting an under 21 team for the tournament
