National League Is Growing Steadily - Okenwa



Independent Chairman of Bet9ja Nigeria National  league, NNL, Chief Chidi  Ofor -Okenwa has expressed his impression with the improvements in the second tier football League in Nigeria.

The Enugu state born football administrator who stated this in Lagos on Sunday praised the board of the NNL for kick starting 2016/2017 Bet9ja NNL super 4 despite the challenges the board is currently going through.

He thanked Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi led Lagos state Football Association for being instrumental to the start off of the annual super 4 tournament which kicked off Sunday.

Chief Ofor stated that the NNL is growing fast  and hopes  it will become one of the best leagues in Africa in a few years to come,

"You can't talk about the success of the 2nd tier division without mentioning the efforts of Barrister Seyi Akinwunmi and others, they have been working tirelessly to see the rebirth of the NNL" Chief Ofor declared.


Kwara United, Heartland FC, Go Round FC and Yobe Desert Stars promoted to the NPFL last season from the NNL season.

The Super 4 in Lagos will determine who emerge winners in the Most Important League in Nigeria last season.
