Tornadoes' coach to ring Team for Wikki tie


Abubakar Bala, Technical Adviser of Niger Tornadoes, has added former Elkanemi Warriors of Maiduguri defensive midfielder, Lukas Yahaya Shinye and former Kaduna United attacking midfielder, Peter Momoh in the squad that will confront Wikki Tourists of Bauchi in week 4 of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL).

Niger Tornadoes being without a win from three games will host the Bauchi side at the Confluence Stadium on Wednesday and the Technical Adviser, Coach Bala Abubakar expects to see his team gets their first maximum points.

Coach Bala said that he introduced new legs to give new life to the team and as well as to fit into the pattern they would adopt for the match.

However, the coach did not shy away to speak on the pressure on him and his side to get to winning ways assuring that they will put in their best to start winning matches.

“Everyone is worried back at home and as well as our supporters here in Lokoja, but we assure you that everything has been put in place to start winning our games.

“We had a good match in Port-Harcourt against Rivers United, we did our best to get at least a draw but we couldn’t cancel out the first half goal united scored”, he said.

According to the coach, the team has found its rhythm and is confident that his lads would prove doubters wrong and put a super performance tomorrow.

Coach Bala then called on patients amongst all stakeholders promising that the team has now revamp and is set to put smiles on her teeming supporters.
