NNL: Oladimeji Assures on Kwara United FC Promotion



The Chairman of Kwara United Football Club, Prince Oladimeji Thompson has said that the team is focus towards meeting the target of gaining promotion to the Premier League next season.
Prince Oladimeji who stated this yesterday in a chat with sportswriters said necessary things would be done to pick the ticket in the Group A2 of the Nigeria National League.

The Chairman appreciated God, the State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed, the State Ministry of Sports and all stakeholders for standing by the team which presently has 14 points from seven matches in Group A2 of the NNL.

Prince Oladimeji stated that the team would not relent and improve on its performance in the second stanza of the League.

The Chairman noted that the task ahead is enormous, calling on the people not to relent in praying for the team.

He promised that the squad would be beefed up in the necessary and key areas to achieve the desire results.

He commended the performance of the technical crew and the players advising them to keep up the struggle to meet the expected target of gaining promotion to the elite league. He also commended them for their sacrifice and understanding.

The Chairman also advised the people of the state to shun hooliganism and support the team at all times.

The team lost only one match, against Gombe United in Gombe in the first round which ended last weekend.
