Ogbugh Confident Heartland Will Beat the Drop

Heartland FC winger, Emeka Ogbugh, is optimistic the Naze Millionaires will survive the drop in the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) this season.

Speaking to npfl.ng from the camp of the NPFL All-Star, currently preparing for the Ramon de Carranza Tournament, Ogbugh said it will be a difficult task but they would retain their top-flight status despite finding themselves rooted to 18th position with 29 points from 26 matches played.

Ogbugh said the Naze Millionaires should not be written off just yet in their bid for survival amid a poor season.

"A lot of people have ruled out Heartland's survival chance, but football is not like that. We have to give our all and then hope for the best," Ogbuh said.

The Naze Millionaires battle FC Ifeanyiubah in an oriental clash this weekend in Owerri.

Ogbugh also took time to talk about his experience in the camp of the NPFL All-Star.
He said his target is to work his socks off in order to make the final 22 for the Spanish tour.

A delighted Ogbuh said: "It's a fantastic experience and I'm working hard to make the cut."

Ogbugh has scored twice in the league for Heartland this season in the games against El-Kanemi Warriors and Warri Wolves.
