Match Report: MFM FC 1-1 Warri Wolves



Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club of Lagos came from a goal down to record a one all draw against Warri Wolves  Football Club of Delta  State in Match Day 31 of the Nigeria Professional Football League ( NPFL )  played at the Agege Township Stadium on Wednesday evening.
MFM FC began the encounter like a house on fire as they went forward in search of the opener. The first 45 minutes of the saw the host dominating and dictating proceedings by forcing the visitors to their own half.
The best chance of the first half came in the 30th minute but the Seasiders goalkeeper, Dele Ajiboye pulled a big save to deny MFM FC the opening goal off an audacious effort from Chijioke Akuneto after he had made series of pointblank saves.
Meanwhile, Obinna Eleje stunned  the Agege fans when his long range shot in the 54th minute beat MFM FC goalkeeper, Abayomi Folarin who failed to get his hand on to the ball.
The hosts wasted lots of begging chances which forced coach Fidelis Ilechukwu to introduced Sikiru Olatunbosun for Chijioke Akuneto, Ospino Egbe also came in for injured Abayomi.
MFM FC players poured forward in their numbers in all-attacking style. Olatunbosun got a chance in the 64th minute to put the Lagos-based team in the game but his left-footed low shot went inches wide.
The last 16 minutes of the cracking encounter witnessed a defining moment for coach Ilechukwu and his wards when experienced forward Isah Akor headed in the equalizer for the home side. Monday Shinshinma who came in to replace Julius Emiloju blasted away what could have been the winning goal for MFM FC.
