NNL: Remo Stars Edge Closer to Premier League

Remo Stars Football Club secured a 1-0 victory over Go Round FC in the rescheduled inconclusive Week 8 match at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium Enugu this afternoon.
The victory sees the Sky Blue Stars go 3points  clear with 22points in the Nigeria National League Division B1 as second place team Unicem Rovers remain on 19points.
Ekene Awazie chipped the ball home after a beautiful one touch pass play in the 60th minute as the Sky Blue Stars held on to secure their first win on the road.
Coach Uche Okague and Daniel Ogunmodede both express delight at the victory and praised the lads performance to ensure the team gets maximum points.
"Am so glad, we secured maximum points in this encounter we played well in Omoku but the unfortunate incident made the game inconclusive.
"The lads did so well today they put in a lot of hard work both in training and in today's game and they were rewarded handsomely." Okagbue said.
In a delightful mood Ogunmodede expressed delight and acknowledge it's a good performance for the lads and had good words for Awazie.
"It's a pleasure to secure vital points here in Enugu we had a good game in Oshogbo against Prime and we were well motivated for this game knowing it was just 45 minutes.
"Ekene has been a hard working player and to score such a beautiful goal shows the kind of player he is, he was calm and did the right thing at the right time.
"Now we are 3points clear it means we are in pole position to secure the ticket and that we will do." Ogumodede said.
The Sky Blue Stars welcome Abia Comets in their next game at the Dipo-Dina Stadium Ijebu-Ode.
