Fresh leads NFF board members, State FA chairmen to Oshogbo for Ogunjobi Golden Cup Final



The Chairman, Referees appointment commitee of the Nigeria Football Federation, Alhaji Ahmed Fresh is leading  top football administrators in the country to Oshogbo, Osun state capital to graced finals of the 2nd edition of Ogunjobi Golden Cup.


The Ogunjobi Golden  Cup scheduled for Saturday September 16, at the Oshogbo Township Stadium.

Speaking to newsmen shortly before departing for Oshogbo, Alhaji Ahmed Fresh says it is very important to honour and support one of the god father of Nigerian football,

According to him, "We are proud to be associated with the good works, Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi is doing in the South West and we will continue to support his football revolution in the state" Alhaji Ahmed Fresh stated

Alhaji Ahmed Fresh estolled the virture of Chief Ogunjobi, stating that the super administrator has transformed the Osun state through the part of football development with series of football competition,

"The football philosophy in Osun state is waxing stronger each day, thanks to the able leadership of Chief Taiwo Ogunjobi and in no distance future Osun state would become football hub of the nation,

Alhaji Fresh whom many Nigerians have identified as the beacon of light in Nigeria football will be accompany by the NFF Executive Committee member and Chairman Kano Football Association, Alhaji Rabiu Inuwa Ahlan, Chairman Nationwide League One, Chairman Nasarawa Football Association and NFF Executive member, Alhaji Mohammed Alkali, Chairman Borno Football Association and NFF Executive member, Babagana Kalli, as well as the Chairman Adamawa Football Association and NFF Executive Member, Alhaji Musa Duhu.

Others on the entourage are President FC Ebedei, Barrister Churchill Oliseh, Ex-international and President Players Union Dahiru Saidi, CEO Nationwide League One, Alhaji Ahmad Kawu, NFF Psychologist Dr. Robinson Okosun.

Not only that, President General, Nigeria Football Supporters Club, Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, General Manager Phoenix ASC, Bayo Olanlege, member NFF Match Commissioner’s Appointment Committee, Manzo Mohammed, together with prominent football administrators, coaches, club owners and top journalist will also grace the this year's grand finale.

However, the aim of the competition  this year, is to scout for Under-17 players that will represent the state at the forthcoming South-West U-17 tournament and to boost discovery of talents at the grassroots.
