Pinnick, Dikko, others in Jos for Fresh Cup finals



Chairman of Referees Appointment Committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, Comrade Ahmed Yusuf Fresh, has invited major football stakeholders to Jos, Plateau State capital to grace the final of 'Comrade Ahmed Fresh Football on the Plateau'.




Prominent among dignitaries expected to grace the finals is the Executive Governor of Plateau State Simon Lalong, NFF President  Amaju Pinnick, Chairman League Management Company, LMC, Mallam Shehu Dikko, NFF's Chairman of Chairmen, Ahlaji Ibrahim Gusau, Independent Chairman of Nationwide League One, NLO, Mohammed Alkali, the NFF congressmen, amongst others.





Fresh who is the Vice Chairman Technical and Development Committee of the NFF, according to a statement from his SA Media, Aro Olaoluwa, noted that competition was the fulfillment among his manifestos which was to develop Football from the grassroots.


"The mandate given to me by my people (North Central) is to develop football from the grassroots, so I have to deliver virtually everything I promised them during my manifesto before I was nominated to represents them on the board of the current board of Nigeria Football Federation," the statement read.




'Sardauna Kwallow Najeriya' as the Chairman Niger State Football Association is fondly called by his admirers revealed that the need for the invited guests as thus; "North Central is one of the leading region in terms football development in Nigeria, and having taken grassroots football development to different states under my zone, it’s important to bring football stakeholders to the venue of the final, so that they can all see how we are taking the youths away from social vices in North Central," the astute football administrator disclosed.




No fewer than thirty-two (32) grassroots football teams participated in the tourney as Sauki Oil & Gas FC clashes with Way Forward FC in the final, while Flying Arrows FC and De Blessed FC fight for bronze in the third place.
