LMC pledges supports for Benue Flood Victims


The League Management Company LMC, organizers of the Nigeria professional Football League in Nigeria have promised to support the victims of the recent devastating flood in Benue state, north central Nigeria. 

Chairman of the LMC Mallam Shehu Dikko stated this in Makurdi Wednesday  when  football stakeholders from the North central region paid a sympathy visit to the governor of Benue state Samuel  Ortom at the government house. 

The LMC boss who was represented by the Executive secretary of the Club owners Association Alloy Chukwuemeka said the LMC in conjunction with all the league partners and sponsors would support the victims with cash and materials as part of its corporate social responsibilities. 

He said that already the LMC was currently in partnership with the FIRS where players who won the weekly wonder goals award were encouraged to use part of the proceeds to support charity at IDPs and orphanage homes.

Dikko sympathized with the government and the good people of Benue state over the tragic flood disaster even as he thanked the governor for his love for sports as well as his supports to NPFL side Lobi stars. 

Earlier Hon. Suleiman Kwande and Barr. Isaac Danladi who spoke on behalf of the NFF and the Club owners respectively commiserated with the flood victims and commended the management of Lobi stars for organizing a charity match between Lobi Stars and Nasarawa Utd in honour of the affected victims.

Responding Gov. Ortom thanked the visiting football stakeholders for their concern,  even as he described football as a unifying factor.

Ahmed Yusuf Fresh NFF executive member and leader of the North central football stakeholders,  Chairman of the Nationwide League and Nasarawa state FA BOSS Alh. Mohammed Alkali, Sporting director of Enyimba and Coordinator of the Club owners Mr Jude Anyadufu,  former Chairman of Kano Pillars and ex director of the LMC Alh. Kabiru Baita,  Top Mgt. members of Lobi Stars and Nasarawa Utd,  notable  football stakeholders and the sports Media.
