ABS FC almost ready for NPFL challenge - Chukwuemeka



Alloy Chukwuemeka, the Director of Football of Abubakar Bukola Saraki (ABS) Ilorin FC, Alloy Chukwuemeka (ACC), has said that the team is almost ready for the 2016/2017 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season. 


Chukwuemeka said this on Monday evening while speaking with the newsmen after his team's 2-1 victory over Lubcon FC, an Ilorin based amateur side. 


He said six of the team's former players are back with them after more than a week open screening where over 150 players attended. 


The Secretary of the Club Owners, explained that only 25 players are identified during the screening and disclosed that the open screening has ended on Monday. 


"We have ended our open screening, though we will continue but with invited players. 


"After Super 4 in Gombe, we will move to a closed camp where we will be looking at the invited players. 


"In the camp, we will be doing elimination by substitution to finalize our presentation" Chukwuemeka. 


Chukwuemeka commended the Proprietor of the Club, Dr. Bukola Saraki, for his support to the team. 


He said the Senate President is fully determined to make the team one of the best in the country. 


The Club Secretary, added that Dr. Saraki has said that the welfare of the team must be top priority hence the reason the club has all entitlements to everyone to date. 


Also speaking after the friendly match on Monday, the team's Chief Coach, Moshood Adebayo, said he hope he has made the job of the head coach, Henry Makinwa, easy when he return from Spain from his holiday with the calibre of players he has selected. 


Adebayo said the technical crew is ready to raise a formidable team that will take the NPFL by storm again. 


He explained that the team is looking for players that will compliment the effort of the talented youngster already at the club.
