Adeyemi pleased with MFM FC's NPFL Preparation

Emmanuel Adeiyemi, the Director of Football (DOF), of Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries Football Club (MFM FC), has expressed satisfaction over his team's pre-season preparations ahead of the 2016/17 Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

The Olukoya Boys who have been busy preparing for the new NPFL season which will kick off on January 15, 2017 put up interesting performances at the two Grade A pre-season tournaments; Gold Cup Tourney and South West Soccer Tournament from November 25 to December 8, 2016.

Adeyemi who spoke about his teams preparation in a media chat with mountaintopfc.com said: "For us in MFM Football Club we are at present undergoing a restructuring and rebuilding process.

"Our performance at the just concluded South West pre-season tournament and the Gold Cup pre-season tournament where we came the first runner-up in both tournaments respectively is a reflection of how prepared we are for the forthcoming season.

"Indeed we are a work in progress, it's an encouraging performance by our team," the soft-spoken Football Director stated.

Fidelis Ilechukwu's men were runner-up of the 4th edition of Nigeria's most prestigious pre-season event, the Gold Cup, held in Ogun State after they lost the final to Lobi Stars 4-3 on penalties.

They maintained their fine form and emerged as the second-place finisher at the four-team South West pres-season tourney in Lagos where they beat off competition from Shooting Stars and newly promoted NPFL side, Remo Stars
