AAG: Wresting Coach Assures of Medal Haul

Head Coach of Nigeria Women Wrestling team, Akuh Purity in Abuja has stated that his mission at the All Africa Games (AAG) in Congo is to win every available gold medal. 


Purity, who disclosed this during the training session at the National Stadium, Abuja noted that with the program put in place for the female wrestlers, they are fit and will defeat any opponents place in their various categories.

"The morale of the girls is high in camp and they are ready to maintain their various spots on the Africa continent at the All Africa Games" asserted Purity.

"As usual, Nigeria has been performing well at African championships, but this time around our target is to win every available gold medal in each of the categories,
"So it is operation 'win them all' and we are not settling for less than gold medals in Congo"

He continue that "Most of the athletes like Aminat Adeniyi, Blessing Oborodudu, Blessing Onyebuchi and Odunayo Adekuoroye are at their peak and I see nothing stopping them at Congo while others have proved not to be pushovers" said Purity.

The head coach advised the wrestlers not to depend solely on their strengths as technicalities should be applied during bouts.
