#KogiGovRace: Audu Banks on Card Readers for Victory

Frontline All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant in Kogi State, Prince Abubakar Audu, has assured his supporters that the era of election rigging are over with the introduction of Permanent Voters Card (PVC) and card readers.

The former governor gave the assurance during is official declaration to contest November 21 election at the Lokoja township stadium on Saturday.
Audu recalled how he was rigged out of office in 2003 by the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who compromised electoral process to his disadvantage. He also noted that same weak electoral process enabled PDP to rig 2007 and 2011 governorship elections in Kogi State.
He likened his political voyage to that of President Muhammadu Buhari who suffered similar fate in 2003, 2007 and 2011 but came out victorious in 2015 with the introduction of card readers that caught notorious riggers napping.
He assured that with card readers, November 21 election is as good as won.
The Prince expressed his readiness to tackle the problem of infrastructural decay, the rot in the education sector and rid the state capital, Lokoja of perennial filth which, he said, had made it the dirtiest town in recent time.
The former governor urged well-meaning people of the state to shun tribalism and bury their differences in the interest of the state.
