#KogiGovRace: APGA Upbeats on Kogi, Bayelsa Guber Polls


.... Begins Membership Validation

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) has said that it has set machinery in motion to revalidate its membership and to register new ones with the production of one million cards and register.


National Chairman of the party Chief Victor Ikechukwu Oye, who made the disclosure yesterday in Abuja during the First National Retreat of the party said each members would obtain the four-year valid customised cards for N100 only and use it till 2018 when it expires.

He also said the party is looking beyond the 43 legal battles it has faced in the last 13 years and is going to spring surprises in the coming October 21 and December 5 governorship elections in Kogi and Bayelsa states the was it did in House of Assembly election in Bayelsa.

“We are not unmindful of the multivarious crises that has beset the party in the immediate past and which surprisingly still linger. These crises had diverse impacts on the party and stunted its rapid growth and advancement. However since our inauguration on June 6, we have taken practical steps to reposition the party and build bridges across political, religious and ideological divide,” Oye said.

Governorship candidate of the party in Nasarawa State and former Minister of Information Labaran Maku other executives and chieftains of the party attended the retreat themed: “APGA: The Journey so far Looking Forward” organised for members of the national working committee (NWC), six zonal and state chairmen, and which Oye described as the first of its kind for any party in the country.
