Gold Cup: MFM FC dislodge FC Ebedei

Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries, MFM FC humbled the Nationwide League One (NLO) side, FC Ebedei 4-2 at  the ongoing Gold Cup Pre-season Tournament decided in Ijedu-Ode.

Prior to this encounter Ebedei defeated Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side, Niger Tornadoes FC and played a goalless draw against Gold Cup defending champions, Kano Pillars but they failed  to repeat their fine form against Fidelis Ilechukwu's lads who appeared to be more tactical and technical.

Sikiru Olatunbosun scored the first hat trick of the tournament with two of his goals coming within seven minutes into the game.

His first goal came in the 11th minute of the match while the second arrived six minutes after the opening goal with Ifeanyi Abara providing one of the assists.

With five minutes to wrap up the first 45 minutes, Ebedei's Chukwura Dubem and Rasaq Idris shocked MFM side, scoring a goal each from outside the box to put the game on level terms at half time.

Olatunbosun completed his hat trick with a cool finish after connecting a lovely pass from Abara while the latter put the game beyond the NLO side with a great finish.
The  match ended in a six goals thriller with the Olukoya Boys claiming their second win of the tourney.
