Gombe United Appoints Manu Garba as Technical Adviser



Nigeria Professional Football League returnee Gombe United Football Club has agreed terms with Golden Eaglet Coach Manu Garba (OON) to take over as Technical Adviser with immediate effect.

Top officials of the club confirmed that Garba was appointed based on his experience and international repute, having won the Under-17 FIFA World Youth Championship in 2014 after assisting late Coach Yemi Tella to win same title in 2012.

Manu after agreeing personal terms noted said his objective is to finish in the top four bracket.

“God’s willing, I will be in charge of Gombe United in the coming football season and our objective will be to finish among the top four. Every player and official must work in harmony for us to achieve our aims.”

Following the appointment, the technical crew of Gombe has been reshuffled according to a statement from the team spokesman Taminu Umar.

Coach Hassan Abubakar who was the technical adviser last season will now serve as the Chief Coach while Ali Garba will be the first assistant, Haruna Abdullah as second assistant and Glory Aghomon as goalkeeper trainer.
